Thee’s no “or she” in the Lippman quotation in The Monterey Herald on 7/8/12. If your going to PCize it, you should write “in other men (and women….” If you’re going to use quotations, please give them to us straight.
You are correct, though I wasn’t trying to be “PC.” That was done by the source that I got the quote from.
